I had the pleasure of taking Henderson to the doctor this morning for his 15 month appointment. Here are his current stats:
weight 25 lbs 12 oz (60th percentile)
height 31.5" (50th percentile)
He had to get three shots (one being the flu shot) which always makes me sad for him. The doc says he looks great and is happy with his development! We will go back in 3 months. He was so happy to leave that he told everyone "bye" and blew them kisses as we passed (all with tears in his eyes). Glad that is over!

Laughing is the Best!
I just love the sound of Henderson laughing. It is seriously one of the best sounds in the world. I am sure many parents feel the same way about their babies' laughter.
Hearing kids laugh always makes me smile, so I decided to share this video I took with my phone yesterday. Please excuse the shaking of the camera, but he found it hysterical when I would jump backwards. (I will also make a huge fool of myself to hear Henderson laugh!) Anyway - I hope that maybe this makes you smile too!

Red Shoes
I have been dreaming of getting Henderson a pair of red Keds since he was in the womb. I just think they are the most adorable little boy shoes. I just so happened to go looking for some shoes for him today and what do you know?! I found these Keds on sale (for today only I might add). I was a little disappointed to find out that they don't have the red ones in Velcro, but oh well!
As many of you know, I really love the color red. Henderson also shares my affection for red. He always goes for the red item whatever it may be...ball, balloon, Elmo, etc. So I am hoping that these red shoes are now his favorite (cause they sure are mine!)
Pumpkin Patch
Yesterday, we went to our church's (Park Avenue United Methodist) pumpkin patch. Henderson seemed to enjoy it, but really liked watching the other children that were there. He has been walking more and more. I guess I thought that once he figured it out, he would just take off (like most kids) but that really hasn't been the case. He will walk some, but then figures it is faster for him to crawl so he drops down and crawls. He does like to hold our hands and walk more than he did before. I honestly haven't been worried at all about his walking, but the boy is heavy and I am kinda ready for him to get going. I know everyone tells me it is easier when they can't walk, but seriously it is time!!! He is 15 months old!
Honey Bee Festival
On Saturday, we went to the Honey Bee Festival in downtown Hahira. We met up with Hansell, Kathryn, and Charlie. It ended up getting pretty hot and very crowded. I enjoyed being able to get some good boiled peanuts and we bought some BBQ sauce from one of the vendors, but that was about it. Oh, Henderson did try a lolly pop for the first time. Of course it was a hit! This is the only picture I took the whole time. Too confusing and crowded to take any more!

West Point Weekend
This past weekend, we headed over to West Point for a visit. We celebrated Jenna's birthday on Saturday. Henderson had a big weekend and was introduced to Jack and Mary Beth's bouncy house. He LOVED it. I wish I had a video, but he cracked up the whole time he was in the thing and didn't want to get out. It also has a slide on one side that he and Frank were not afraid to throw themselves down. We even got to stay over until Monday morning so I could go to a jewelry show that my Aunt Sue put on (she makes beautiful jewelry!!) My dad took a lot of photos so if you are interested just check out his Picasa website.
The weather was so nice that we did a lot of swinging!
Even better shot of the hair!
Frank was kind enough to let Henderson ride on his car. He even was willing to push him around!
Not much else (other than the usual) is going on around here. We have certainly been enjoying this nice weather. I have been feeling pretty good. Henderson is really working on his walking and took 6 steps by himself today. He is also using more and more words (his favorites right now are bye and mama). He still uses signs and we recently added "please." He has gotten pretty good at combining signs as well. His favorite? "More cookie!"
Current signs: more, please, eat, cookie, bye/hi, finished
words: mama, dada, bye, no, uh-uh (for uh-oh), na-na (for Nannie although he has said Nannie), dog (but sounds more like da), bubu (for bubble), wa-wa (water), na-nuh (banana)
There are a few more that we know what he is trying to say, but just aren't quite words yet!
