Shameless Plug

This is for anyone who lives in Valdosta or anyone who is interested in coming here for this event...

I am now a member of the Valdosta Jr. Service League and each new class is responsible for a project. Our class is hosting a Casino night to benefit the Haven. The Haven provides emergency shelter and services for victims of family violence and sexual assault. This is an amazing organization. They recently had a fire at their current facility and are working to build a much larger home that will serve more women and children in the area.

"Full House for the Haven" is being held on March 12 at the Valdosta Country Club. The tickets are 25 dollars per person. With your ticket you also get 2500.00 (I think) of play money. You can also buy more play money throughout the night if you need it. At the end of the night, you can use your play money to buy chances to win various prizes. There are TONS of great prizes including trips and gift certificates. There will be many different games to play including slot machines, black jack, etc.

I really think this will be a fun event (even though I am going to be HUGE at that point). It will be even better if there is a great turn out. Please contact me if you are interested in going!!! I would LOVE to sell you a ticket!

*On the home front: There is nothing new going on here. It has been pretty cold so we have spent a lot of time indoors. It rained all day today. We have been able to get together with a few of Henderson's buddies. I wish I had him on video when his friends come over to play. It is like someone has wound him up at set him loose. I seriously think he was trying to "show off" for his friend Julia today. He was bouncing off the walls. I am not kidding. He was running around and was so "busy" that he ended up in a full sweat. Other that that, my parents have just returned from a trip and I am so happy that they are home. It is so hard when I can't just pick up the phone and chat with them!! I also have my glucose test on Wednesday...yuck! Besides those things, I have nothing new to share. I just keep growing daily...

Tech Savvy

Henderson LOVES our iPhones. He has really learned how to operate them just by watching us (scary!) His favorite thing to do is to scroll through the pictures and watch video. He even knows how to unlock the screen. This video doesn't show much, but I thought it was cute. I knew once he saw that I had out my video camera he would go for it. I have to be really sneaky these days. He does the same thing with the camera. It is impossible to get a decent picture of this child since he is always on the move!

Steering is not his thing...

Nothing New

Just reporting that I went for my ob check on Wednesday. All is well with Baby Boy Lincoln. It was a pretty uneventful visit. I did get a flu shot at this visit which made my arm feel like it weighed 100 pounds. I was so tired the rest of the day, but other than that I felt fine.
In 2 weeks I go back for the glucose screening. (I am not a fan of this one!) "Moving right along" as my dr says. Yikes, yikes!!

We got Henderson's room painted. It looks fantastic and I am thrilled with the color. I will post some pictures when we get things in order. We haven't done much other than the painting and moving out old furniture at this point.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend! Looking forward to some family time!

Some Christmas...

Christmas with children is just fun. Henderson really enjoyed having a Christmas tree. He did so much better with it than I ever anticipated. He didn't try and pull off any of the ornaments. He just loved to look at them. I put some that I thought he would like down low (and of course put all breakables up high). He loved finding his Elmo ornament and pointing it out to us. He also loved the lights on the tree. If the lights were off, he would point to the tree and say "uh oh!"

Over this past weekend, we set up Henderson's sand/water table that he got from my parents. We had some nice 70 degree weather so it was perfect. We didn't put the water in in yet, but it will be so much fun this spring and summer. He loves it!

Santa did stop by with some gifts for our good little boy! The grill was (and still is) a big hit!
Henderson got a little battery powered ride on toy (a mini power wheel). It is a 4 wheeler. I have some video that I need to upload. It is adorable and so funny to see him ride around on it. His cousin Frank also got one and apparently he has mastered the steering. He is going to have to teach Henderson a thing or two because Henderson hasn't grasped the steering thing yet. It is kinda funny. It is so weird to see my little baby ride around on that thing. He looks like such a big boy on it that is makes me a little sad!

Welcome Back Y'all!

Yes, we still have a sick computer. Hasn't this happened before?! Uh, don't ever get a Dell.
Anyway, apparently some blog viewers out there can't stand to be out of touch. I so know the feeling. Don't you hate it when day after day, you click on someone's blog and NO UPDATE?! I am what many may call a blog stalker. I love looking at blogs. Any yes, that does include people, I may or may not know. I admit it. You know many of you do it to. Well I wouldn't want anyone to have to go without seeing the cute little Bundle of Joy! I am working on getting Christmas video and pictures on here. We had a really fun one. I hope everyone had a great holiday. It is hard to believe it is already over. It is also hard to believe that I am 25 weeks pregnant. (I sometimes have to look on my counter at the top to remember how far along I am. So different this time!) We are in the process of deciding what color to paint Henderson's soon to be room. After it is painted, I will start working on getting it ready for him and moving him in. I want to do it in plenty of time so that he doesn't feel booted out of his old room. We do plan on borrowing a crib from Stephen's cousin for him to sleep in until we are ready to move him into a big boy bed. We just aren't ready for that just yet. Our soon to be Baby Bundle still has no name. We just can't seem to agree... He will have a name before he is born. Right Stephen?!
