So Happy to be Outside!

We have had such terrific weather around here lately. We have taken full advantage of being able to be outside. Here are some pictures my dad took during their visit last week...
It was nice enough to put water in the water side of the sand/water table. Henderson LOVES it!

Dad took Henderson on a walk almost every morning he was here. This is how he usually returned. I am pretty sure Nannie wore him out every morning.
Henderson had a runny nose all week which turned into an ear infection...
You can tell in this picture that he doesn't feel well. Poor buddy!

Baby News

I went to my 32 week ultrasound on Thursday morning. All is very well with baby boy! I love the ultrasounds. It was so sweet to get to watch him. He was even yawning and sucking his thumb. I was a little sad to hear that he already weighs around 4lbs 12 oz. He is in the 80th percentile for weight. My doctor looked back and at this same time with Henderson, he was in the 60th percentile. If you remember, Henderson weighed just over 8 lbs. Birthing an 8 pounder for me was just a bit traumatic...don't worry, I will spare you the details, but let's just say this frame and an 8 lb baby don't mix. Soooo, yay looks like this boy will be even bigger. I need lots and I mean lots of prayers starting now! My doctor is going to do another ultrasound at 37 weeks to determine the weight and then we will discuss a coarse of action.

In other news, my parents came into town this past week. It was wonderful! They are always so much help and Henderson just has the best time. I also get new pictures! Yay! We hated to see them go today!

Just Funny

These were some other pictures my dad took while we were in West Point back in January. Henderson loves to take the head off of this goose when he is at Nannie and Granddaddy's house. He always acts so shocked that it popped off. Of course this is followed by multiple uh-ohs...

Tantrum Head

I don't know if you can see the enormous bruise on Henderson's forehead. Well, if not then trust me, it isn't pretty and neither are the tantrums he throws these days. This is where he gets the bruised forehead. He will throw himself on the floor and hit his head. We are starting the terrible twos with a bang (literally) and it is still about 5 months until he turns 2! In this picture, he had a big ole tantrum just about 15 minutes before...don't let that sweet smile fool you!
One thing he has learned to do (most of the time) is move to a carpeted area before throwing himself down which just reinforces the fact that he knows exactly what he is doing!

Big Boy

Dad took this picture when we were in West Point last time. This is before all of our sicknesses (ear infection and stomach virus) set in. I think we have totally recovered from everything.
I never get any good pictures of Henderson. I think my dad is the only one who can actually document this stage of Henderson's life for me. I am going to have to get him to make some of his albums "public" so that everyone can see how much Henderson has grown!

Oh My, I Love a DEAL!

I have gotten the BEST diaper deals through Amazon Moms (if you are a mom with a kid in diapers you need to sign up www.amazon.com/mom). You get 15% off all diapers plus free 2 day shipping. You can also sign up for this option called subscribe and save which gives you an additional 15% off (after your item is shipped then you can unsubscribe so that you don't keep getting the same diapers shipped every 3 months). That in itself is a deal, but if you subscribe to Parenting magazine (which is super cheap...like 5 bucks a year) they have been sending out 10 dollar off coupons for Amazon Mom which you can use in addition to your 30% off.
Just to show you the deal, I decided to get some newborn diapers. Now since I had an 8 pounder last time, I am sure we wont be in these newborn diapers very long so I just wanted to have a small box. This box of 84 would normally be about 25 bucks or maybe slightly less. I PAID $3.15 (yes, that is THREE dollars and fifteen cents) and they will be delivered to my front door for FREE! I also took advantage of a deal they were having on the Swaddlers size 1-2 a few months back. I got over 200 diapers for 13.00. Love it!
Anyway, I just had to share that with any of you mommies or soon to be mommies out there - just in case...
Oh - one more thing. You get a few free months of Amazon Prime which gives you free shipping on most items. It was great during the holidays when I was doing a lot of online shopping. When you spend money on baby products you become eligible for more months of free Amazon prime (up to a year).

Too Late

Well, after all the disinfecting we did around here Stephen and I managed to get the stomach virus anyway. To say it was terrible is a complete understatement. I will spare the details, but there was a few hours there that I questioned if I was going to make it out alive. It started for us on Sunday. Stephen got sick around noon and I immediately jumped in the car to go and get us some "supplies". I knew the inevitable was coming. Sure enough, a couple hours later it hit me.
We are finally on the mend. Henderson still isn't eating hardly anything but applesauce and maybe some Cheerios. Milk is the enemy and if he drinks too much of it then it still makes him sick (although he begs for it). I have eaten my fair share of chicken noodle soup and Saltine crackers, but am scared to move on to anything else! Many thanks to Kathy who took Henderson all day yesterday so that Stephen and I could sleep. I seriously don't know how all of you out there who are not near family can do it! Prayers to everyone out there that you do not fall victim to this violent stomach virus!!! (I also had the stomach virus when I was pregnant with Henderson...who gets the stomach virus with BOTH pregnancies?!)
