Exciting News!!!

Parker and Julee got engaged on Friday! We are all so excited. They are looking to have the wedding in November. They really wanted a short engagement (wise decision!) I haven't even gotten to see the ring yet, but hear it is beautiful of course!

Nothing new going on in Atlanta. We had another open house on Sunday. We had some positive feedback, but still no offers. We are hanging in there and praying for something to happen soon. I have gotten some new job prospects so that has been exciting (and a little nerve racking!)

I am off to Destin this weekend for Staci's bachelorette weekend. I can't believe that her wedding is almost here!

CUT IT OFF!

That is what I told the guy to do with my hair! And cut he did! I am super excited about my new haircut so I had to share it with you. I went to an actual salon. I figured with years of getting 12.99 haircuts at Great Clips, I had more than saved up for a Van Michaels new do. Elizabeth (Street) recommended the guy and he was awesome! I might just have to put this in the budget!

Spring Break '08, Baby!

Yes, last week was my spring break. This is by far one of the most wonderful things about my job in the school system. Stephen can't stand the fact that I had a whole week off with nothing to do, so he has decided that he also deserved a spring break. I couldn't agree more, so we took a week long vacation to Destin. We were so thrilled to be away from our house and not have to worry about dog hair, the yard, cleaning... It took us a while to get relaxed, as we have been very anxious about selling our house, finding one in Valdosta, my job...
By day 3 or maybe 4, it was safe to say RELAXATION! We celebrated our 2nd anniversary (which was actually April 1) by treating ourselves to our favorite restaurant in Destin - Marina Cafe. Our spring break was a far cry from the ole college days, but we enjoyed it just as much (or maybe even more!)
We have had a lot of people come and look at the house. There haven't been any offers yet which I find a little discouraging. I realize that our house has only been on the market for 2 weeks, but as many of you know, I am not the most patient person. God is certainly using this opportunity to continually teach me to trust in Him!

2 Wonderful Years Together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take a look!

We are officially listed! If you would like to take a look go to www.harrynorman.com and then type in 3682177 in the search area where it says MLS #
I couldn't get the direct link to work, so you will have to do it this way. Pass it along to anyone you might think would be interested!

BTW - Sure am glad we got those flowers in the ground yesterday since you can't even see them! Oh well!

FOR SALE!!!

Stephen and I worked all weekend on getting the house ready for sale. We woke up early and went to Lowe's then hit the yard. On our 2nd trip to Lowe's, we picked up a bunch of flowers to plant. We got home just before the rain hit really hard, so planting would have to wait. Since it was raining, we decided to finish up some things in the inside of the house which included moving our roll top desk out of one of the guest bedrooms and setting up the daybed. I was able to help Stephen get the top part of the desk off and moved to the basement. We got the bottom part out in the hallway and I about had a heart attack. Stephen tried to rally me and do some convincing that I could make it all the way to the basement. There was no way, so the desk had to sit right in the entry to our front door until some kind soul (which ended up being Walton) came and helped Stephen move it. At this point, I had just about had it... then we found out our washing machine had died on us. Lucky for us, Tim and Staci had us over to dinner. We showed up with an appetizer and two loads of laundry!

Sunday our real estate agent came over so that we could sign the listing agreement and go over everything. This all went really well! The weather was so bad that she waited to take pictures of the outside, but will be coming by today to do that. After she left, Stephen and I had to plant the flowers so that they would be ready for the picture. We got out there in the 40 degree weather and did it- NOT FUN!

This morning, Stephen put the sign out front. We were both kind of surprised how weird and sad it felt! I took a bunch of pictures of the house that I had planned on posting, but then realized that our computer had to be dismantled. Hopefully, I will be able to share them soon. Our house has never looked so good!!! I will be sure to post the listing soon. In the meantime, tell everyone you know that we have a great 3 bedroom/2 bath house for sale in Brookhaven!

Happy Easter!!

We had a great weekend in Valdosta! We were able to go down on Thursday night since I had Good Friday off. We went and looked at some houses on Friday...no offers yet. We are working hard to get our house ready and we should have in on the market by April 1st (which is also our 2 year anniversary!) Julee (Parker's girlfriend) and I went with Kathy (Stephen's mom) to do some shopping and have a pedicure. It was so funny because people kept thinking that Julee and I were sisters. One guy even asked us if we were twins! That isn't the first time that we have gotten that either. Maybe one day I will just be able to say "Yes!" No pressure, Parker:)
BTW - For all of those who know what I am talking about... In this picture I had just told everyone about Katie R's "out and down" thing with your head during pictures. Just look at how great the guys are at it!

One Thing We Wont Miss...

This is what Stephen and I sat in on our way to Valdosta Thursday night. It took us over an hour just to get through downtown! Needless to say, we talked about how glad we were we wouldn't have to do this much longer.

Hendrix didn't seem to mind the traffic too much!
