Shower in Perry

Parker and Julee had a shower in Perry on Saturday night. It was a lot of fun! They were able to get a lot of great gifts that will be perfect since they just bought a house.

This picture was taken at Julee's parents house before we went to the shower. This is where the wedding will take place (less than 2 months from now!)

The happy couple opening gifts.

Me and the world's greatest father-in-law!

This was a really cool collage that a friend of Julee's family made for her.

Some Good Things!!!

As I type, the painter is covering the murals in my house! The previous owner had two little girls and they were big fans of murals. There were murals in 4 rooms of the house... but not anymore!
Maybe now I will get around to posting some pictures of our place?! Anyway, I am so overjoyed to see those things go that I had to write about it.

ALSO, EVEN BIGGER NEWS (I know, what can top the fact that a painter is at my house??)
Thomas and Elizabeth are expecting a baby in April. We are so thrilled! Congratulations!!!
I now have permission to tell everyone, so what better way than to post it on my blog for all the world to see?

We are off to Perry today for a shower for Parker and Julee. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. GOOO DAWGS!

Fun Weekend!

This past weekend I got the opportunity to spend some time with my girls in the mountains. We had such a great time catching up! It is always so hard to leave after such a fun time. Luckily, I will be seeing most of them again soon at the UGA/Bama game in a few weeks.

Also, I highly recommend trying the "Sweet Tea" vodka called Firefly. Ummm, refreshing...
I don't think it has made it's way to Valdosta yet which is probably a good thing.

A Whole New Can of Worms...

I can't believe I have done this, but I have gone and joined Facebook. I had no idea of all the people that were already on there. Thanks to a lot of harassment by numerous people, I took the plunge. What have I done? All I can say is it is a good thing that I am no longer close to a computer during the work hours or there would be a lot of little kids out there who's first words would be "Wow, I haven't seen her in years!" Anyway, I may need someone (Quinn!) to come over and show me how to navigate.

In the News!

Stephen and I joined my parents in Destin for the long weekend. Unfortunately, we forgot the camera so we don't have any pictures. We had great weather on Saturday, but it rained on Sunday so mom and I hit the outlets!

Nothing new to report with us. We are still waiting on getting painting done at the house. I knew it was going to be a wait, but this is getting out of hand. Stephen tells me it will be 2 more weeks. (The painter is still working on projects for Lincoln Realty). I would start painting myself, but I swore it off after painting the kitchen in Atlanta which resulted in about 8 coats of paint and a near break-up between Stephen and me.

My picture was in the Valdosta times this week. I guess that means I am an offical resident! The private practice that I work for "More Than Words" was featured in the September issue of "Your Health Matters" (a magazine type thing that comes out at the first of the month with the local paper). I scanned the cover of the magazine and the page that I was on. (That is Val Fillion on the front cover for those of you that know her. She is an OT.) There were more pictures of various therapy scenes and a lengthy interview with the owner of the company. It ended up being a great marketing tool for her. We got about 10 calls today regarding people asking about possible therapy!

Staci is coming to visit me on Saturday! I am thrilled! Stephen will be out of town so we will be able to have some serious girl time.

Stephen can hardly sleep!

The biggest highlight (besides the princess party of course) for Stephen this weekend was that he finally purchased his big LCD TV. I swear he has been researching this for months. He has been holding cardboard cut outs over our mantel to determine the perfect size. I was a little weary of putting the TV over the fireplace, but apparently that has been a big dream of his (must be a man thing). We should be getting it installed in the proper place this week, but that hasn't stopped us from setting the thing up on the floor for now! Hendrix did get a little nervous that we were going to leave him at the Sears in Albany on our way home. Luckily there was enough room for him to squeeze in.

Princesses Only!

Mary Beth's princess party was a big success! I can't believe this child is 4 years old now (well almost her b-day is actually on the 20th!)

One of the activities was making wands. This is my mom below helping my cousins Jordan and Payton. Jordan was our flower girl in our wedding. She is now in the 2nd grade! Time flies!
Boys did make an appearance at the party. We had to disguise them as princesses. See? Stephen blends right in.
