Cabaret 2010

Last Saturday, Stephen and I went to the Cabaret Club's annual costume party. It was the 25th anniversary so you could dress in any of the themes from the past 25 years. There were obviously a lot to choose from, but we finally decided on "Prom Night". I borrowed this lovely number from my pal Quinn (who wore it to her Jr. prom). There were some great costumes at the party and we had a blast.

These were the only pictures that I took with my camera, but we did get some great ones on Parker and Julee's camera. I'll try and post those when I get them. Thank you, thank you Quinn for the awesome dress. I made sure to let everyone know this is your dress - get ready for a hard time.
My mom has been here this week helping out. I have been working all week this week to fill in while another therapist is on vacation. Henderson has loved getting to spend some time with Nannie. She entertains him every waking minute. He is going to be so bored when she leaves and he is stuck with me.

A Big Month

Henderson's 9th month has by far been one of the most eventful (and we are only half way through it). You have seen some of his recent talents in previous posts. He has mastered the crawling, he can clap like a mad man, he can pull up, he can wave bye-bye, he eats mostly table food, he LOVES Cheerios, he figured out how to shut the door and open drawers, he started mothers morning out (on Tuesday/Thursday - then goes to Honey's house), he is getting a third tooth, and he loves peek-a-boo. Due to all of his recent mobility, he takes FOREVER to fall asleep for a nap. Wheeew, I'm tired and the most blessed woman on the planet.
PS. While I am posting (since this is getting harder and harder to do), I just have to give a big THANK YOU to Aunt Julee and Uncle Parker who came over to our house and baby sat last night while we went to an event. Parker didn't even flinch when we were walking out the door and Julee hadn't gotten to our house yet from work. He listened to every instruction, including the "just in case there is a blow out diaper," with total confidence (or he was faking it really well!)Luckily, Julee showed up to rescue him just as we were getting into the car! Y'all are awesome!

Happy and We Know It!

Workin' Weekend

Since the pollen has finally stopped falling around here, Stephen had us a long list of things to do around the house this weekend. He cleaned out the garage, we scrubbed our porch from top to bottom, and planted some flowers - just to name a few things.

See how nice our porch looks with all these flowers? Ha! This picture is at Southern Gardens where we bought some geraniums. Mommy looks awesome with no shower all day. Henderson and Hendrix supervised. Daddy says he can't wait for Henderson to do these chores while he goes fishing.

Daddy did allow for a few minutes of fun time.

Friend Time

Henderson got to see some of his buddies this past Friday over at the Patterson's house.
It is impossible to get 4 babies to look at the same time...
Charlie Watt, Griffin Patterson, Claire Odom, and Henderson
(Dad, I am sure you are horrified by all of the shadows on the above picture! Ha!)
Henderson enjoyed taking Charlie's toys. Luckily, he didn't mind.

Henderson had a little "crush" on Claire
He kept crawling over to her and laughing/smiling. So cute!

Got it!

Henderson is crawling more and more!!! This is so exciting and a little scary. We have got to childproof!

Hello My Name is Henderson No-No!

Poor Henderson hears no-no a lot. He totally has the head shake thing down with it too. We have had so many instances of him grabbing handfuls of grass and trying to shove them into his mouth. He can't hardly touch the grass now without shaking his head. With the crawling in place, I am sure he will be hearing those words even more.
