Stephen and I have "adopted" a little boy named Francisco from Brazil! He is a 6 year old that we are sponsoring through the Chirstian Children's Fund.
We had a major tragady here at my school. A coworker's 21 year old daughter was killed in a car accident while training in Colorado for a mission trip to Spain. While I didn't know Jessica personally, I often heard her mother proudly talk about her. Through all of this, I found out what an amazing girl Jessica was! She truly loved Jesus Christ and committed her life to spreading His love around the world. I prayed about what I could do to help her family. Her mother sent all the school employees an email about different organizations that were close to Jessica's heart. The Christian Children's Fund was one of them. I have always wanted to sponsor a child and I felt now was a great time to do so in Jessica's memory.
We have just gotten started with the sponsorship, but it is already so much fun. Today is Francisco's birthday! You can even buy a goat for a needy family!

I have a sponsor child from Brazil too! Her name is Ana and it's been really cool so far. We have been sending letters and pictures to each other. Getting to know your child makes it that much meaningful to give! Hope you guys are doing well. xoxox
