Yesterday, my family had to say good-bye to an important member -our family dog, Barney. It has been such a sad time. If you are an animal lover and have ever lost a pet then you know what my parents are going through. We got Barney when I was a junior in high school, so he filled the void for my parents when they became "empty nesters." He was the first dog my parents ever allowed to live in the house and LIVE he did. He went on many vacations and hardly ever was away from my parents. He may be the only dog I know that has never been boarded (ok, except for the night of my wedding and I swear he was only there for about 8 hours and he totally forgave me!) We will miss him terribly!
We are off to Hilton Head next week for the annual Huguley family vacation. It came at a good time, as it will provide my parents an opportunity to get away and have fun!
