1 Week...

Henderson was a week old yesterday. He is such a blessing to us. He is such a sweet baby. We went to his doctor yesterday. He is back up (and past) his birth weight (weighing in at 8 lbs 4 oz). We had a great experience at the doctor and we are pleased with the choice of our pediatrician!

I have been completely out of touch with the world. I have had so many meltdowns about various things (especially the breastfeeding!!) but I am so lucky to have the world's best husband and mother to help handle the crisis. Speaking of my mom - she will be going home this weekend (already feel another meltdown coming on). My dad is coming back into town tomorrow (yipee we will have some new pictures coming!) and they will leave on Saturday. Luckily I do also have the world's best mother-in-law ready to help fill in (she has already done some much to help too!!!) I think this is when we will need a lot of prayers. I want to thank everyone who has come by and brought us gifts, meals, etc. My friend Kate Patterson even headed up a calendar of meals and had friends sign up = awesome!

He's so handsome Mary Scott. I'm sure you're doing a fabulous job. Breastfeeding is very hard work but if you can stick with it the first two weeks, the next two weeks are easier and it gets easier. I had such a great time doing it even though I only made it six months.
However, if you can't stick with it for any reason at all, you're not a bad parent. Don't beat yourself up!

He is so cute! I can't believe how much he's already changed! Frank is already growing out of his newborn stuff. It's so sad! Hang in there with the meltdowns. It is normal and they will get better. I still have them some nights, even without having the breastfeeding issue. We are praying for you guys every day. We love you and can't wait to meet Henderson!
