I had all intentions of uploading some recent pictures and updating the ole blog today. When I went to get the camera, I realized Stephen had taken it to work. I guess the pictures will have to wait. Everything around here is going well. I thought I would take a minute to update those who I don't get to talk to much about our daily lives...
I continue to work part-time at 'more than words' speech therapy here in Valdosta. I work on Tuesday and Thursday while Henderson stays with Honey. I can't begin to tell you how wonderful it has been being able to stay home part-time! There is absolutely no way we would be able to do this if it wasn't for Stephen's mom (aka Honey). We are not sure how long we will continue to do this, but right now it works for us and we will be forever grateful to Honey for this time.
We enjoy getting to see my parents and family whenever we can. My parents have been wonderful about making the trip over here to Valdosta and helping out whenever possible. I can honestly say it has been extremely hard to be away from my family since Henderson has been born. I just don't want them to miss out on anything he does. I also hate missing out on Frank, Mary Beth, and Jack's daily lives as well. I seriously don't know how any of you that live far away from family members do it. I feel like 3 and a half hours is an eternity. Thank goodness for Skype!
Stephen really enjoys working with his brother Parker and his dad at Lincoln Realty. I wasn't sure how it would go working so closely with family, but they all seem to do great. (Of course Kathy, Julee, and I get tired of hearing about office stuff when we get together, HA!)
Since this blog has turned out to be all about Henderson, there isn't much I don't cover about him, but maybe there are a few things... He is such a GIFT from God. It is amazing to watch him grow and take in all the new things coming at him. He LOVES food. He obviously doesn't miss a meal. There isn't one baby food that I have tried that he hasn't eaten. (He is such a Lincoln). He continues to love bouncing in his doorway jumper or his jumperoo. He is constantly watching the dog and thinks he is the funniest thing in the world. He has just figured out that if he makes this REALLY ANNOYING grunting noise long enough then his immediate needs get met quicker. He is still a great sleeper, although we have had to do the "cry it out" method a few times. Although this method makes my blood pressure shoot up, it is amazing how effective it is. Really all you mommies out there that don't think you can handle it....YOU CAN! It works! Save yourself $$$ on all those sleep books. When the baby gets to a certain age, he is clean, he is fed, he is no danger - let him cry. I digress...
God has really blessed the Lincoln family. He has (and continues to) answered so many prayers about jobs, friends, church, family, parenting, and on and on. We are so happy here in Valdosta. We look forward to watching Henderson grow up here and seeing what the Lord has in store for him. Stay tuned!!!

Mary Scott,
I love reading your blog and am so glad things are great in Valdosta! I too feel like 3 hours is an eternity, and just learned to Skype. It changed my world! Now I talk to everyone several times a day on the computer. And, thank God for crying it out, right? It worked for us too...although it took me way too long to give in to it!
