Memorial Day

For Memorial Day weekend, Stephen, Henderson and I went to Destin along with our friends Mark, Paige, and Tripp Perry. It was so much fun and wonderful to be with friends who truly understand this phase of life we are in right now. Tripp (who is 18 months old) loved the beach. He was covered in sand from head to toe! I was a little worried about Henderson because on the first day, he was extremely weary of the sand and all of the things going on. He really came around and enjoyed sitting in the blow up baby pool. He loved the birds that would come up close and would even give me a b-b-b every time he saw one. He sat on the edge of the ocean and let the water come up to his legs. (I of course forgot my camera during all of this, but Paige got some on hers). We attempted to go out to dinner one night which was a complete bust. We were going to try and be there soon after the restaurant opened, but by the time we got there it was an hour wait! I managed to remember to bring Henderson's food, but forgot his bottle. He was already exhausted and crying in the car, so there was no way I was waiting an hour to sit down. We ended up going home and eating there. We did go out to the same restaurant for lunch the next day and it was a great experience.

Tripp enjoying the beach
He loved to pick up big handfuls of sand and throw them. You had to be careful not to get in his line of fire, because this boy is FAST.

This is where Henderson spent most of his beach time.

Henderson LOVED watching Tripp. Tripp was so sweet to Henderson and would crawl after him, which Henderson thought was so funny. It was fun for Stephen and me to get a glimpse of what things are going to be like in a few months. You have REALLY got to be on your toes with an 18 month old. If I thought Henderson was busy, shewww.... Tripp is full speed ahead at all times. He can get away from you in the blink of an eye!

It was so hard getting pictures of these two because they wouldn't sit still for very long.

Henderson is also so excited that Tripp is going to be his neighbor!
