Standing and some other stuff...
Tonight Henderson started standing by himself! I am so excited! Of course I don't have any pictures to show since I certainly didn't have time to go and hunt down the camera. On another note, we have been having some issues with Henderson at night. Almost every night he wakes up SCREAMING and no amount of consoling helps. It is like he doesn't want to be held, but doesn't want to be put down. I've tried walking around, letting him in our bed, going outside, putting him in his stroller, and rocking (and on and on). I am all about "cry it out" and I am not afraid to do it. We have at least a 10 min. cry rule around here. We do let him cry and sometimes much longer than 10 min. Before this began, he ALWAYS went back to sleep on his own. This is different. He stands up and screams like he is in pain. He will cry so hard that he gags (and has thrown up). He has had some stomach issues (which I have talked with the doctor about and we thought we had worked out) that I wont go into detail about, but we think this is related. I am worried that he might be lactose intolerant or something. When he finally calms himself down (sometimes an HOUR later), he acts normal. I have just had to start putting him back in bed after that and let him cry for about 5 minutes until he passes out from shear exhaustion. It is really hard on all of us! Luckily, Henderson's one year appointment is on Monday so I can talk to the doctor about it. If any of you moms out there have a suggestion let me know!

Could it be reflux? Our experience is that it is worse when lying down. But I've also been told that most babies outgrow it by Henderson's age. Hmmm...ear infection?? I'm new at this mom thing, too, so I'm just guessing! I hope he feels better soon!!
