David's 6 month check-up

I took David for his 6 month check up this morning. Let me just start by saying the last few days have really not been our best. He started with the cold in the early hours of Sunday morning. I was up every hour that night and the next night too (as mentioned in the previous post). Since then, he has been sleeping fine through the night, but waking up to start the day at 5 am. We went through a spell of this a few weeks back and had finally gotten through it just in time for the cold to strike. This has reset his early wake time clock. We are wiped out. We have tried everything. Crying it out, going to bed later, going to bed earlier, shorter naps, etc are not working. So long story not short - this morning we were spent by the time I arrived at his 8:45 appointment. He needed a nap and he was due to have a bottle at 10 so we were already set up for disaster. He ended up doing ok until he got the shots and then totally lost it until I could get him home, fed, and in the bed. My poor sweet, sweet little angel!

Here are his stats...
19 lbs 7 oz (75th percentile)
26 3/4 inches (55th percentile)

The report is that he is a perfectly healthy little boy (praise God!) He is meeting his milestones and growing, growing! I have so much to be thankful for so I am trying to stay positive on the sleep front. I really can't complain since he does sleep well...just waking a little too early for us around here. He had outgrown his dose of Zantac so that was upped a bit. He is still battling the reflux. LOTS of spit up and occasionally seems to have some uncomfortable moments. Hope we are soon to outgrow that. Yuck!
