My sweet, precious, David will turn one year old tomorrow. I simply can not believe it. This has got to be the fastest year of my whole life. Now, if you will stick with me here, I am going to reflect a little...When I found out I was having a second boy, I think I was truly overwhelmed with a feeling of not knowing how I could love another little boy as much as Henderson. I was scared. I can honestly tell you that from the very moment that I saw my sweet baby, I was smitten. He has completely, one hundred percent, stolen my heart. This child has doubled our joy and brings his own special sunshine into our lives every single day. There is not one single day that I don't look at him and PRAISE the LORD that he gave me this child. I look at David everyday and tell him "I am so thankful that God gave me YOU!"
I am so sad that I no longer have a little baby. David is becoming a toddler and I wish I could just make time stand still. He is very close to walking, he is drinking whole milk, he is about to give up bottles completely, he is saying a few words, and it is almost more than this mommy can handle!
The picture above was taken this past weekend. We had a little family party to celebrate. It was so much fun and a terrific day and weekend (Stephen and I celebrated out 6th wedding anniversary on Sunday). More to come on the party later...
