What do you think?

Does anyone think my child looks a little like me here?

There is something about this picture that reminds me of some of my old baby pictures. With Henderson, I rarely catch any glimpse of my side of the family in the looks department. HHL is all Lincoln to me, but I do think David has a little bit more of the Huguley in him. I say that and then I look at David sometimes and I swear he looks just like Stephen. I know it is hard to tell, but right now David's eyes are still blue. I keep thinking they will change to brown, but I said that with Henderson too and they stayed blue.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a good 4th weekend. We will be relaxing around here for the long weekend. I return to work on Tuesday (can't believe how fast time has gone by!)

We also have our big boy Henderson turning TWO next Friday. We aren't having a big party this year - just a family cook out, but should be fun!

Brother Bath

For most things, Henderson does not want David to join in, but bath time is different! He really likes "Baby" (as he still calls him) to take a bath at the same time he does. This definitely makes things a little easier. He will even ask me "Baby in bath?" when it is bath time.

Still never asks to hold him though:-)

Friends Forever!

Henderson's buddy Emmett came over this morning for a visit. Emmett is in town visiting his grandparents (all alone...Thomas and Elizabeth are still in B'ham:-) Mrs. Street brought him over for some fun play time. We always LOVE seeing Emmett! We sure did miss seeing Thomas and Elizabeth though!

Emmett - already quite the Techie - went straight for the computer:-)

Emmett was SO SWEET to baby David. He even wanted to hold him and gave him a kiss without being asked. It was so cute! Emmett is going to be a great big brother to his little brother James. James will be here in less than 2 months!

David is almost Emmett's size!

I got a delayed shot of the kiss. I think Em is getting smushed.

Oh Sweet Day!

Or should I say night?

Baby David slept from 7:30 pm- 7 am! He turned 12 weeks yesterday and I reminded him that his brother had made it that far by 12 weeks. Not to be out done by Henderson, David was determined to make it:-) So proud of my little guy! Mama is feeling good today - even managed a walk with the boys this morning!

Sea Island

We were so fortunate this year to get to go on another Huguley family vacation to Sea Island. I can't even begin to tell you how special this place is to me. My family grew up going on summer trips there with my mom's parents (Grandmama and Poppa). I have SO MANY wonderful memories with my family at Sea Island. Although it has changed a good bit since the 80's (if you have been to the new Beach Club and Cloister then you know what I am talking about), I still get a special feeling when I get there. I am so thankful that I have gotten to spend time there with my own kids and husband! There is nothing like getting to spend a week with your whole family. We all get to be in the same house and while it can get a little crazy with 5 kids, it is SO MUCH fun.

As I mentioned in a previous post, Henderson came down with an illness while we were there. We got there on a Saturday and he woke up in the very early hours of Monday morning with a fever and cough (which just so happened to be Stephen's birthday). Now all 4 of the Lincoln family was in one room, so that was interesting. Luckily David hardly made a sound and really wasn't the child keeping us up at night. We took Henderson to one of those immediate care places. They gave him some cough medicine and an antibiotic. The doc said it was a sinus infection and the beginnings of bronchitis. Well it turned out that the cough medicine wasn't doing a thing for the poor child. I called my sweet friend Jenny (who just so happens to be the nurse practitioner at my pediatrician's office) who could hear him coughing over the phone. She thought it was croup and called us in some steroids and breathing treatment. That saved us and once we started that, Henderson's cough got much better. I will also mention that trying to get his medicine down him was a nightmare. We had to bribe him with Popsicles the whole time. I swear all he ate for about 3 days was Popsicles. He slowly started to feel better so he was able to have some fun too. Poor little guy.

As most of you know my father is quite the photographer. So much so that there were over 900 pictures taken over the course of the week. There are so many good ones that I don't know where to start. I have used a few in some posts over the past few days. For some reason Blogger is taking forever to upload these photos, so I think I might just post some of the pictures on my Picasa website (which I obviously haven't been using!) Keep checking there and maybe I'll get some posted (link on side bar - "Our pics of the Boys").
