Eating!

(Yes, I purposely left that all over his face for picture effect)

My sweet David got to taste his very first morsel of food (if this stuff really qualifies as "food").

Per my doctor, I am really supposed to wait until he is 5 months old to introduce food, but being the rebel mom that I am (remember my child sleeps on his tummy - GASP!), I decided to go ahead a few weeks early and give it a try. Now, my baby is about the size of a 9 month old so I suspect you can tell that he is a good eater. The rice cereal was no exception. He seems to love it. I really only gave him a few spoon fulls to see what he would do, but looks like he is a true Lincoln.

David still hasn't had his 4 month appointment yet so I have no idea what he weighs. I am dying to find out. We were supposed to have the appointment tomorrow, but the doctors office called today and needed to reschedule. We now don't go until a week from Monday (and he will almost be 5 months!) He hasn't rolled over yet and really hasn't attempted to. He's great a grabbing things and loves to play with the rings on his play mat and bouncy seat. He can pull the rings and make the music play. He LOVES to be held and I find that sometimes I have to put on the BabyBjorn (aka. Baby carrier) and "wear" him just to get things done around the house.

He has the sweetest smile with dimples (so lucky to have 2 boys with adorable dimples) that makes me just want to EAT HIM! He is still nursing like a champ, but does spit up quite a bit. Henderson really didn't spit up at all so all of that is new to me. Yuck. He is on a great schedule and eats 4 times a day (7, 11, 3, and 7). He takes a morning nap at 9 and an afternoon nap a 1. (Henderson also naps at 1 which makes for a couple of hours where they are both sleeping!!!)

David likes his paci (which is also new to me) and I went through a spell of wondering if I should take it away because he would wake up at 3 am and want me to pop the thing back in his mouth. Wow, that was annoying, but he would go right back to sleep. That problem has gotten better.

These months have truly FLOWN by. It makes me sad.
