Looks like we will be having baby number two on April 11! I had a doctors appointment today with an ultrasound. The baby weighs approximately 6 lbs 12 oz at this time. The doctor said that his weight had slowed down a bit (down to 60th percentile from 80th), but looking to still have a baby that is over 8 pounds. This past week has been exceptionally hard on my emotional state, as I have gone back and fourth about my options of having a vaginal delivery vs a c-section. I did the stupid thing and read all about it on the internet which resulted with me in tears. (Don't ever do this to yourself... you have to do what is right for you and not get all wrapped up in what others have done. I certainly wont do that to myself again).
I have prayed about what to do and Stephen and I both feel that the c-section is the way for us to go this time. My doctor was very helpful and although she wouldn't make a decision for me, she did make me feel that the decision I made was the right one in my case. I am still anxious about the surgery, but 6 weeks of recovery really does sound better than a lifetime of serious "issues" due to another 4th degree tear. So now I will look ahead and think about the joy that this pain brings. Looking forward to meeting my sweet boy!
