My Sick Boys

I really hate it when Henderson is sick. It breaks my heart! He woke up on Wednesday with a fever. I had a weekly appointment with my doctor so Kathy came over to sit with Henderson. (All was fine with that appointment). I got Stephen to call the doctor's office while I was at my appointment. I was able to run home and pick Henderson up and take him right on to the doctor with very little wait time. It turns out that he has an ear infection. It has been crazy to me how we avoided ear infections for so long and then once we got one... ugh they keep returning. My doctor thinks he keeps getting congestion build up from allergies. He now gets to take Claritin everyday during allergy season (which around here in South Georgia is pretty much all of the time). Henderson has been pretty miserable the last few days and we still haven't gotten rid of the fever. Praying he is better soon!

Now - notice I have TWO sick boys. My poor Hendrix (aka Penny Dog) also got a recent diagnosis. He has hypothyroidism. This is something that can be corrected with daily medication, thank goodness. He had this weird wiry patch of hair and wasn't eating like he normally does. Our vet thought he could have an under active thyroid and sent some blood work off. So glad that he will be fine. Supposedly he will feel a lot better and have more energy (the sad thing is that we didn't even know he felt bad!!) Anyway - prayers for my sweet Penny Dog too! (I am laughing to myself as I look at this picture. Notice the millions of pillows I have over there on the left for myself. All pregnant gals need multiple pillows...even if it means stealing a few from the husband:)
